It has been a very very very long time since i updated my blog. I shall revive my blog from today onwards! (:

I have G-R-A-D-U-A-T-E-D from SMU! Not officially since commencement is next year. Somehow, I think i'll miss school, I'll miss the times I sit in the SR, listening to the prof, I'll miss the time spent in school with my fellow friends, CCA mates. Though school means reading before class, studying after class, preparing for mid terms, exams, chionging projects, the satisfaction obtained is good and self-rewarding. Certainly, I'll miss my profs, the nice people in the MPA offices and my friends!

O yeah, I received a card last night from Prof Themin and the people from the MPA office (Yuan Yi and Wee Kwong). They are just so sweet! The card made my day! ((:

Currently, I'm doing part time at a coy called Mccoy. The work initially was ok, however, it gets bored as time passes. And of coz, as a part timer, I do 'sai gang' too, like, digging out past year files to sieve out that 1 or 2 invoices for auditors etc. And and and, my colleagues like to bad mouth about auditors!!! ANGRY! haha, hello, i am an auditor to be! lol. But, i understand how they feel but still ... ... Thanks to Elton for crapping and chatting with me during office hours. haha! ((:

3^rd week of internship

After a week at AMK, I was told to report to office @ ORQ today as I will be posted to another subsidiary which is supposedly to be in the East Area. Reached office, chatted with fellow interns while waiting for my senior’s call. And guess what, I’m posted to a subsidiary at Jurong, a rather ulu place! That’s very far far far for me. But then, this would also mean that I can save on my bus cum train fare since I am able to claim transport fare!

I was typing this post on Microsoft Word as I have no access to Internet at Client’s place and I was feeling very bored. One of the client’s not around and I can’t do anything which is allocated to me and I am done with what I can do. And so, here’s the list of tasks which I did just now: Depreciation reasonableness test and control tests. Pretty manageable though.

Newly painted house!

My parents and brothers were discussing whether they should repaint the house and the next moment when they go out for breakfast, they went to buy paint! It was like rather impromptu. But then, it was supposed to be painted last year but plan did not go as planned. First was my living room, then my room, my brothers’, my parents and my kitchen. And now, my living room is white in colour, blue for my parents’ and brothers’ room and I have a light pink room! The pink is not very obvious, but still, it’s pink. =P

Dad fell sick!

And, I guess because of all the painting (for 3 or 4 days) and the long standing and waiting at temple last night, my dad’s back is aching (previous injury) again I think. When I woke up this morning, I was told that he’s sick. And again, stubborn he refused to seek a doctor.

Talking about the long wait at temple, my ear was scalded? Or burnt? By an auntie who do not know how to hold joss sticks properly. Worst, the joss stick is not that thin kind, it’s rather thick and I “OUCHed” very very loudly till my parents and siblings got a shock. It was damn painful. And guess what the auntie said? She said, “well, it’s the joss stick, not me!” And she told my mum to get me toothpaste to apply. But, who on earth will bring toothpaste to a temple? Later on, the temple officers helped me to apply medicine. Till now, it’s a little painful! As my mum said, luckily it did not kena my face, or else ……

My super busy mum!

Talking about my mum, she’s super busy with her work and I think she hardly sleeps. Because of the painting few days ago, I think she stayed up 1 whole night as she has to shift the stuff in her room and she has her paperwork to do. But, my sister who has just completed her O level and is very free at home has been helping her. I’m super bored now, so I will just update all stuff which comes to my mind.

Received Yi Fang’s sms earlier on telling me that she’s very bored too. There’s no work for her to do (just like me). But, at least she has internet connection and my client’s place over here does not have. Totally sian man. Our seniors are all so busy and buried with work but we can only help them with this much of work __ (out of _________________________________________ work). Lol. And because they are so busy, it’s not very nice of us to keep bugging them too. So, I am typing my own stuff here. I’m looking forward to the long weekend this week. And, there’s another one next week. And I really hope that there’s one every week (STOP DREAMING LA! Haha).

As I was typing this entry, I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to start writing my Internship report whenever I am feeling bored so that I do not have to type that during Chinese New Year. But then, I am feeling a little lazy and I do not know how to start either. Super lots of excuses. Lol.

back again.

2 weeks into internship, that is to say, 8 more weeks to go and 8 more weeks to CNY! =D Internship has been fine thus far. Seniors, A2 and A1 have been very friendly and they are so willing to teach and explain to me. ((: Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to the end so that I can enjoy my good 10 days of holidays before school starts again.

Results are out and unexpectedly, I did fairly good. ((: However, doing better in term 1s has always been the trend ever since I stepped into SMU. Now, I'm feeling worried for my next semester. Hope everything goes well then.

Been busy with SAAT training preparation as we had our very first training today. Glad that it went well. After that, a simple lunch with outgoing seniors. They did a lot for SAAT and its only right that we thank them properly! ((:

Hmm, I'm just feeling bored now and so, randomly typing.

So looking forward to next week (long weekend!).

I am BACK because,

exams are OVER! But, it did not end well though. My worst semester ever, every paper seems so CUI! DIE DIE DIE! Results, please do not come out.

Anw, it's HOLIDAYS now! Been slacking my time off at home, helping my dad at temple. 1.5 days more for me to slack before internship starts on Monday 7 December. That's like so so so soon! :(

Went China Club yesterday for dinner (Prof Yee Loong's treat!) with tax planning classmates. Was a good session with all the chit chats with different friends. Ate, listened to jokes, snapped around and home sweet home with Min Li, Hui Min, Joseph and Marcus. Wanted to go coffee but the cab could not squeeze in 5 pple and the shops around are all closed. Fruitful session. Thank you Yee Loong! (:

National Day Celebration at work today. Reached work at 1pm, lunched and went loittering around. Finally, returned PASS, bidded GOODBYE and off I go - HOME!

The very much awaited day, however, i'm starting to miss the IAD. Eric, Bean, Ai Peng and Jingwei. They are really nice people and I really mean it. lOl. ((:

Still, life goes on. haha. But, I'm sure we'll keep in contact. Like what jw said, we live so near so can meet up for dinner. ap commented that we can email/call/sms/msn her whenever we have qns.

End of internship = Start of school, SIANS. lOl.

just came back from BEDOK. superb. ((((:

anw, half a huge workload off my burden when i send my team's workpapers to our director today. for this, i must really thank my wonderful team members. it wasnt as bad as i thought. LAST LAP: report writing. and, ohh myy, i still need to review financial work papers. shall leave it to next week and enjoy my weekends 1st.

went to school early in the morning to help out in MPA info session. superb tired(slept at 2am and woke up at 630am =X). slept throughout the journey from home to school. session ended at 1pm and home sweet home.

SAAT-ed when i got home and went out with family at night. ohh yeah, my sis played a trick on me, without me knowing at all. whaha. was quite funny. and i actually did not realise that. -_-!

feeling sian now, but don't feel like sleeping so early. lOl.

heyyo!

blogging from work again because i am super duper ultra extreme BORED!

i wanted to do SAAT, but sadly, no members send me their work. and this means that tonight (hopfeully they send me) and tomorrow gonna be HELL. SAAT is making me super duper stress. cant wait for it to end, seriosuly.

pet society is down, so i cant play.

since i'm bored, it gonna be a factual account. haha

went school for training today. reached school pretty early, went to saat room to settle shirt stuff, and off to sr den to cheers to buy drinks for welfare. training was rather short today. followed by discussion among own CBD and group. after which, talked, chatted, slacked a while in the sr heading off.

went for lunch with exco at sushi tei (raffles city) to celebrate july babies' bdays (pics on fb). nice session with all the talkings. haha. hope they enjoyed themselves.

came home after lunch. slacked and fell asleep. too tired coz haven been sleeping well for the past whole week. woke up, slacked and went out with parents. due to the big big rain, we came home slightly early. then, went supper with mum and sis den here i am, feeling so sians.

want to slp, but not v tired.

still need to settle bidding for 1 more mod. =(

super random stuff, simply because i dont want to get down to work.

operational audit, financial audit. looking forward to 31st july.

i dunnoe how to set deadlines for my team. they worked super hard last week, so i think i shld only send out the email tmr. at least, give them a gd weekend rest. if not, they sure hate me! haha.

hellos, back to update.

been busy with SAAT reviews. and i think the group worked very hard this week. its finally the first deadline, but well, there are 2 more to come. which means, more work to do for members, and it also means that more reviews for me.

but well, we still deserve a break i think. (:

work is slack today, very slack. not that we don't have work to do but we are waiting for sup's reply to proceed. so, not our fault! left work super early today. like 4.45pm? and reached home at around 5.15pm. thanks to jw, i saved a lot of time and money this week.

oh wells, last 3 weeks to end of intern. which means 4 more weeks to school! and toking about school, yeah! i got all my core bids. felt so relieved. however, i need to bid for 1 more T&E. and o yeah, toking abt bidding, it made me suffered a HUGE headache last tue when i realised that the mod i wanted to bid isnt made available to us. i thought i had a well planned and wonderful timetable. haha. but, luckily, i got all my core bids.

shall update agn, need to go and think of how to proceed for SAAT. meanwhile, have a great weekend! or at least, i will. haha!

After a month and a day, i'm back to update!

time flies, it's been 6 weeks into my internship. and i have 5 more weeks to go! can't wait for it to be over and i don't want school to start either. haha, well, i guess i cant have the best of both world.

the rest of my holiday's gonna be a busy one for me. with internship, saat, and project VWO. however, i guess it gonna be a fruitful one since there will be lots for me to learn.

now, it is the very FAN period. bidding of modules is going to start soon, and i havent plan what mods to take yet. because my GPA is CUI enough, so i need to plan properly and also, for subsequent semester. Need to pull up my GPA so as to secure another internship in Dec (hopefully).

anyway, yes, its my longggggggggggg awaited weekends! FINALLY! i love my weekends! went to school today for the MPA session. thanks to wee kwong and yuan yi, i learnt some things on events planning. they gave me a slightly different role (as compared to last year). i tagged along with wk before the session starts. he explained to me the different tiny details to take note of when planning such an event. For example, where you place the registration table. not only must it be at a convenient place for the participants to register, one would also have to take in consideration the ideal place for the registration table for the photographer etc etc. after which, i sit in throughout the session to get a feel of the whole event and at e same time, doing my duty to spot those pple not feeling well (yes, H1N1!). a really good lobang i would say. easy job+good food+money! today's food was not bad (haha!) and there was so much leftovers. haha! all thanks to weekwong and yuan yi for the great lobangs. THANKS! and, there's another session in july. (:

came back home, slacked and slacked. haha. now, waiting for my dad to come home and we're going out tonight! if not, it will be a boring night. and i shall do some saat work when i'm back later. actually, i'm quite stress over saat. haha, being a manager to review all team members' work arent easy. i hope i can do a great job this time round. not so much of a manager, its just a name i guess. we all need to learn together as i arent tt fantastic!

i got all afraid when i saw dark clouds. in my heart, i was praying for it not to rain. and, thank god, it did not rain today, or else, my effort will be totally wasted.

saat annual welfare retreat 23 may 2009.

though we did not have the chance to play my well planned games, i think that it can be considered a rather successful BBQ. (: i think it's a pity not to play the games, esp treasure hunt. i spent so much time preparing it and of coz, i need to thank hongjing and my sisters for helping me with the preparation of this game.

another sad thing was, we were supposed to have about 45 pple turning up but in the end, there were only about 29 pple. thus, we have quite a fair bit of leftover food. there are many pple i want to thank for the success for this retreat.

my siblings (sis for helping me in shopping and preparing and borrowing of tent from her friend and bro for fetching me back) sad thing here is that, the tent borrowed was somehow damaged and i guess, its only right for me to get a new one to replace it. =(

and not forgetting my fellow saat members and seniors who turn up for this retreat.

End of Internship week 1.

jw smsed me at 12 plus am, saying that he's still in office and will be late for work today. thus, i took bus to work today.

the day started with all of us, diligently doing our work until Adrean (dont know if his name is spelled like that) on his computer and realised the red words on his desktop. yeah, it was the prank we decided to play on him. we all broke into laughter when Adrean and David actually believe that all was true and Adrean, making a phone call to security (=qihan). lOl. the day continued with me doing researching on ToR for the 1st half of the day. As usual, 2nd half was spent slacking. lOl.

left work at 5pm. Official knock off time is 5.30pm for fridays. however, we are allowed to go off at 4.30pm for sports. this is all about balancing work-sports life.

o yeah, supervisor said that we actually have to present them our 1st piece of assignment. PRESENTATION!!! SMU=PRESENTATIONS, now work also have PRESENTATION! SIANS. and, worst thing is, i'm not really prepared though. =( slacked too much!

tmr is SAAT welfare retreat. i'm getting stress and i hope all goes well tmr!

Internship Day 4

As usual, nothing special happened today. 1st half of the day was productive. However, as usual, 2nd half, no motivation to work and hence, low productivity again. was on meebo chatting when supervisor suddenly came in. lOl. However, she somehow gave the green light to be able to log on to meebo. haha! But, i know, there's a limit to everything! (:

when we were going home, my fellow intern colleagues decided to play a prank on another who accidentally left his computer on after leaving. lOl. well, the life of an intern, when it all gets too bored! haha

my supervisor, came back from her training today. she's another nice person. i guess, all people in the department are wonderful pple! lOl.

spent 1st half of the day completing our summary, and 2nd half was spent slacking! simply lack the motivation to do work after lunch. there's a need to get rid of this damn bad habit!!!

after work, went back to school to collect BBQ stuff for this coming sat!

Thanks to jw for giving me a lift to work. It really shorten my journey and not the 1.5 hrs of bus 74 ride again. =DD Spent 1st of half of the day reading IPPF and 2nd half doing the summary. Ended work at 6pm and HOME SWEET HOME! I left work half an hour later than yesterday, but reached home the same time.

time flies again, it has been one week since exam ended. and yes, EXAM FINALLY ENDED!

this week will be the informal result release. this semester, i totally have no courage, to even log in into vista. i can only pray now and hope for the best. (so scared now)!

Back to my holidays. So far, so good. much better than mugging days! no stress, able to slack whole day and how i wish this is forever! (day dreaming la, me! lol)

So far lessons have been okay. The only lesson which i dun really like is FIIM, coz time pass super slow during that lesson!!

Yesterday was an efficient day for me! Revised a lil on corp reporting. Read AIS to prepare for today's lesson. And after i finished that, i actually dun feel tired and went on to reinforce my concepts on audit. went to bad at 330am but i think only managed to sleep at ard 4am. Jus not very tired! haha. So yeah, made use of the chance to study more so that i have a more relaxing day today!

Finally, our hol's week 1 planned outing turned into reality today! haha.

Yi yuan, my 2 younger sisters (a pity my sec 3 sis cant join us!) and I went to the

E-S-C-A-P-E T-H-E-M-E P-A-R-K !!

We first meet at Pasir Ris Station to have our lunch at White Sands at 12pm. Lunched at Mcdonalds before taking a bus to our destination.

O yeah, because it's their 8th anniversary, all tix are half priced and So, its rather cheapp! yy and I tried all the games there and it's a pity that some of the exciting ones (Rainbow, Inverted) are not available and Panasonic is no longer available. Nevertheless, we still had our share of fun! We first went for our 'aeroplane' ride. Next, we visited the haunted house. This is where both my sisters cried, making yy and i at a lost of what to do when we were inside! We then proceeded to the rest of the rides ... ... ferris wheel (is it named like this?), train, pirate ship, another kind of children's train where we were asked for our age! haha. ... family Go-Kart, Individual Go-Kart, water shooting game and the wild and wet!

Christmas celebration!

Went for children's xmas camp at Si Ling Pri Sch on 22, 23 and 24th of Dec. I enjoyed myself there, with the children. They are simply adorable.

Went school in the morning for SAAT meeting. Proceeded to Karaoke at PartyWorld at Orchard. It's supposed to be exco retreat, but it's a pity that not all can make it! But, i'm sure there are many more outings for us! I shall organise more=D. Only Jiunn Yeong, Belinda, Rafael, Joseph, Jessica and me went! They can sing really well!

Today!

Went school for SAAT room spring cleaning! A good place for us to slack when we have free time in sch=). Bought my Audit textbk! think i gonna start reading and flipping when i'm bored! haha!

went to school to help out with the MPA Matriculation. This time round, its slightly more work to be done, but its very manageable. Easy job, easy money earned=)! Earned a total of $48.=DD Job scope includes giving out matriculation packages at registration counter, helping out at the different stations and being a tour guide bringing them ard the sch via concourse! It's a very short tour and they are very nice pple=). Ended at about 6pm and off i go! home sweet home! Went home, changed and out i go again! haha. i'm enjoying my hols!=P

supposed to go ECP with xm today but it was cancelled due to my problems! ps hor, xm!

today is the official release of results.actually, no diff from informal release. grades are still the same anw. results improved slightly as compared to last semester's but i'm sure there are more room for improvement! need to JIA YOU JIA YOU!

Received a call from wk today and i'm gg school tmr to help out with data entry for the MPA admission! He's another nice person with many lobangs for us to earn $$! but need to leave sch by 1230pm as got smth on in e afternoon!

i'm feeling bored now so let's update!

13Dec 08 - a whole day out!

woke up at 10 plus, got myself ready and off i go for SAAT exco handover lunch @ Fish and Co @ the glasshouse, parkmall. I reached super early and thus, went to walk around and realised that there's nth much to walk and see. wanted to find some benches to sit down, but i cant find any in parkmall..so walked over to singapore shopping centre and spend my time sitting there! All of them arrived at about 1 pm and we talked, chatted and ate. Left at 3pm. And, all SAAT seniors are real ZAI pple! jess was saying tt she feel stressed out by their grades! Anw, went home with candice. We live quite near each other, a diff of 10 blks. she's another ZAI pple, A+ for tax planning!=D

Anw, went home, changed and off i go for 4E1 Chalet. met rene at her house and her parents drove us there. it's been a longgg time since i last saw my 4E1 peeps. though not many turned up, but we had an enjoyable time chatting, updating, gossiping and taking photos. And, we had lotss of food also. Thanks Theodore for organising.=) After bbq, we slacked in the chalet, snapped photos, watched tv till about 12 am and Theodore gave all of us a lift home! Thx again!=D

Enjoyed myself today! hope for much of such gatherings!

14 Dec 08, another day out!

This time, its with my 05S6E peeps. woke up at 11:30am and it was raining! tot tt our plan to East Coast Park wld not be successful but it turned out fine! Met yiyuan at Dhoby Ghaut at 1pm. Chewhwee supposed to be there also, but she remembered the venue wrongly. So, met yy and proceeded to ECP! reached there at ard 2 plus and waited there till about 3pm before we proceed to bowling coz it was still drizzling. After that, was cycling! and all e way, we were snapping and snapped at the same time! All ended at about 6:45pm and we proceeded to Parkway for dinner. Justin drove with 8 other peeps in his car! haha, it reminded us of how our class squeeze into the lift after lecture to maths lesson back in NYJC. had dinner, walked around parkway and off we go home!

tired but another enjoyable and fun day!

super sian-ed today!

woke up early in the morning for nothing! went down to esplanade for the Great Eastern Kids performance. Supposed to be a volunteer there. Reached there at 8.30 am, supposed to be 9am, but i reached early. waited till 9 and i still see no one. so decided to sms the person in charged at 9am, but she only replied at 930am. and goddss..she take abt 15-20 mins to reply a sms. i only managed to get my pass at 1015am! super not efficient i think. went in, basically did nth. slot brochures into a booklet, cut ribbon and tts all! i left early! o ya! i was grouped with this group of malay girls who only speak malay among themselves. feel so bored man..

and o ya, i was supposed to be there on Mon also. but guess what? i only receive a sms from there at 8am to ask me to report at esplanade at 9am!?!??!! i smsed them several times on sun but they only replied on Mon 8am! Super sianed, so ended up din go. actually, i think that i shldnt have gone today also, but feel kinda bad of signing up and not going..so decided to show my face,but i felt that that was not a need actually.

and, now, i'm slacking at home!

feeling sians, so a lil update..=)

went sch today for SAAT meeting. was so unreluctant to get off my bed coz its been like almost 1 week since i woke up sooooo early. meeting ended at ard 1145am and off we go for lunch! went to this jap restaurant at the cathay coz lk said its pretty cheap..yeah, $0.99 per plate of sushi. ate and chilled and chatted there till abt 1.15pm before we headed off.

and, it was raining very heavily when we've decided to disperse! went to admin building to submit indemnity forms and back to sch for MA meeting. headed home at 4 plus!

came home, bathe, changed and went out again.=) jus came back not long ago!

feeling a lil sian now..haha..tts y i'm HERE!

and yeahh!!i'm looking forward to tmr=D!

1st dec

went for FinishingTouch dining at Charcoal (The Treasury). Hmm..i dont like the appetizer and the soup! main course and dessert was normal though. after that headed home!

went for tax gathering at ChinaClub in e evening. i'm very glad that i turned up, coz its an opportunity NOT to be missed. the place is simply elegant, beautiful and high class man! met up minli, weizi at MRT before heading to the place itself. and minli was saying how chui she dressed over sms, but i dun think so leh! haha. went up to e place, chatted, mingled and yee loong came shortly. he brought wine and everyone is supposed to drink. the smell stops me from drinking. haha! i think alcohol's better. lOl. food served was not bad too. after food was photo taking, forgot to bring my camera along! so, used minli's. o ya, and, we were supposed to each tell a joke and the joke just get lamer and lamer. haha! it was an enjoyable night though=D. headed home at ard 930pm.

really need to thank yee loong (prof) for such a great treat! he's a really nice prof. shall upload some pics after minli send me=D.

i'm blogging from school right now! reached school a bit early so decided to come here to RANT! been spending most of my time in school. from a 4-day week to a 6-day week now=(! and, the number of hours spent in school is not short! only yesterday and maybe today, i'll be able to go home before 4pm. tmr is yet another long day with lesson starting at 12 pm, ending at 3.15pm. project meeting starting at 3.30pm and ending at around 5pm? and another meeting at 8pm. and....i haven been revising my work. it can take me as long as like 4 hrs to read a pathetic chapter. Lols. very very low productivity.

O ya. had my MA presentation yesterday. i think it went well?haha, not that bad la i would say! i still think that our video is funny! GREAT jobs pple! thumb's UP!

okay, shall stop here and get ready to set off for lesson!

before i start my research for tmr's MA meeting, let me update a lil.

today marks the end of the mid term break. and i actually go to sch every single day (Mon to Fri and Sat which is tmr!) Even worst than my normal school week.

my whole of this week was spent doing tax actually, preparing for today's test. Well,no comments about the test. At first i thought it was quite ok. but upon deeper thinking, no i'm wrong. i think i got quite a few figures wrong and if prof does not carry the error forward, i'm DOOMED! anddd Finally! the test ended.

Next week is super super packed for me! and i have a finance mid term next SAT which i've yet to really study. And you all know, finance is not just about reading notes,you need practice. Many PRACTICES. Besides that, next week's the due date for ethics report. Coming up will be MA presentation (following week) and not forgeting FINANCE and INCOME TAX reports.

i'm super duper scared for next week finance's mid term. haix!

And not forgeting SAAT also. =D!

Okay, enough about sch!

i'm sure you guys read the news recently. about LIN LI uncle.
its really sad that he passed away jus like that. it's like a 'wow' news, cant believe it, totally!

my life revolved around school, school and only school. And, time passes damn fast(yes, agn) next week is MID TERM BREAK. I guess they have this mid term break for us to clear our work. More of a STUDY cum PROJECT work break. Though not all days are booked for meetings, but i guess i need to study mug study mug for the TAX test which happens to fall on the 10th and FINANCE on the 18th. where is my break?!? lOl.

TIRED!, but work undone yet=( slept at 3 plus am and woke up at 7 plus am!

FRI, SAT and SUN were spent doing nothing! Was practically out for the whole of sun, which ruin my studying plan! haha.

woke up in the morning to go temples with my dad mom and siss. left hse at 8 am and came back at around 1130am.

after which, was supposed to go my dad's workplace to help him, but when we reached there, it rained. very heavily! so, we cant do anything but to slack there. after that, went home, bathe and changed and off to COURTS mega store with whole family. so many pple went. like 11 people? haha. coz my brothers wanted to get a bed and a new desktop. one of the 2 desktops at home is gg to die soon, like real soon. and my dad wants to get a fax machine. the one at my home gonna break down soon! only managed to get the beds, coz the service tt quite lousy leh. noone came up to serve and help us for the IT stuff, so my dad decided to patronize another shop another day! (maybe coz the COURTS too big?!)

reached home at around 4. slacked till 430pm before i proceed to my TAX!. taxing on the brain indeed! again, went out to Kallang Bahru at around 730pm with dad mom and siss. and came back only at 11pm! andddddddddd

I'm still at my TAX! SIANed.

wah! super busy day at work today! worked for a total of 14hrs and 15 mins today.

reached BC at 730am as deliveries need to be out by 830am. but, the previous girl did everything for me! Thanks!.=D

brought my tax book to work today. but guess what?!? i was super busy today. sales today is extremely good. today is stock in day and by ard 5pm, all my cakes were sold out. customers want the cakes badly, so got tony to transfer in some cakes from SH. andddd..the transferred cakes were all sold within like half an hr too! see how, good business is today!

sold a total of 52 cakes, 2 pints of ice cream and 18 single scoops of ice cream. scooping 8 scoops of ice cream at one go. how tiring my arm was, lol! and many deliveries order today. was busy doing the invoices and delivery orders till i really have no time for my book! super sian. haha.

worst, my money and cakes balances do not tally at the end of the day. swee was like: wahh..1st time leh, money dont tally and she was saying, tony also say cannot be dont balance de! haha, but thats really a fact la. was on the phone with swee, tony beside her, trying to resolve this problem. followed swee's instructions and closed the shift. however, problem still not resolved! however, wo bu fang qi! came home and continue calculating and it balances!=D so i guess its the problem with the POS system. gonna fax it to them tmr. hope nothing goes wrong!. but i guess, it should be right.and i guess i'm gg to stop work temporarily coz of SCHOOL. actually, i enjoyed working there,really enjoyed, much more than stalxxxx learnxxx cenxxx! i'm sure gg back to work again if i have time. lOl. really nice pple there. and i hope, i dun leave shit for tmr's girl coz like, no more cakes to prepare for tmr's pre orders, delivery orders and no more boxes also! feel so bad now!

and, haix....i din touch books today at all! think i'm gonna stay till late late late today, for the sake of my books! back to books!

yet another week has passed. how time flies.

a lil update before i go back to my books.

no lesson today. peishi came my house in the morning and we chatted surfed net till about 1 plus. after which, she went home and i went school for project SOS cheque presentation to our beneficiaries and prize presentation for our best salesperson. not many people turned up though. and, the presentation lasted no more than 5 minutes. after that, reception started. headed off to Ben&Jerry after that at raffles city with many (simin, yun jing, caroline, widad, vanessa, ming shan, rachel and her freshies). slacked and chatted there for almost 2 hours before i headed home with yun jing to hougang. came home, changed and went out with family!

so now, back home! need to do some work before sleeping.it seems like i have so much work to do. review questions, reading chapter which prof has gone thru and preparing for next week lessons!

and, i'm working tmr @ awfully chocolate. need to be there by 745am as deliveries got to be out by 830am. i'm bringing my tax book along to read too!

its been a long time since i last blogged.

well, school has started. first week of school was okay, maybe because i went lessons with my friends? =D! and now, 1st week of school is gone, just like that! really very fast. i can sort of see the shadow of FINALS. =X haha, xiumin said, mid terms first!lOl

nothing happening in school, except for VIVACE (aka CCA day). helped out SAAT for a lil while.

TODAY!
went school in the morning to help out for the Master Professional Accounting (MPA) session. most importantly, we are paid ($8.18 an hr) for just mainly sitting at the registration booth, marking the attendance of the pple who attended the talk. EASY money. and, we got to enjoy the refreshment and pack them home as well! see, EASY money. so worth it. haha. we were practically slacking there for 4 hours!

after that, went home and took a half an hr nap before heading to awfully chocolate!. yeah, even though school started, i'm working as they really lack pple and the job there is quite slack too. agreed with rene to share shift on SATURDAYs. =D the management is a bunch of really nice people. this makes work enjoyable. =))) working again next SAT, full shift as rene has something on!

yeah! i can officially drive on my own now!

everything is so computerised now. even during the test, testers use laptops to grade you and all comments, mistakes (even which road you made the mistakes) and recorded in the system too! the conversation between us and the tester will also be recorded. and yeah, no more paper and pens.!

i was very very very nervous about the test (to the extent that i cant sleep the previous night and woke up very early this morning). during my warm up, i made a few mistakes which i shldnt and thus, made me even more kan chiong. however, i'm glad that all these are over. i was very satisfied with my performance in the circuit. all the demerit points i accumulated were mistakes made on the road. =))

received a call yesterday from yimei to ask me replace her for work today. and so, i agreed.=)

did quite a lot during work today.

1. many stock in cakes which include preorders, delivery and walk in. i think there are 4 BIG cakes?

2. quite a few mistakes on the cakes.
- name spelled wrongly, i need to unpipe and redo. not so bad!
- a 12.5" cake, supposed to have colourful dot trimmings, dont know why came in pink trimmings. and i had to mix colours, unpipe the pink trimmings and do my colourful dot trimmings.

3. a customer accidentally damage her cake when she's at home. so she came to ask me to help her 'repair' which include redoing some colourful dot trims, piping the words, fudging the cake.

feel quite satisfied to be able to do all these actually!=D

tired!, worked today.

worked with Henry (from office) today at BC. He came down for training by Swee. However, he left halfway for office. I must say that i'm getting the hang of it alr. their POS system changed a little, more complicated but not hard to learn! haha. At the end of the day, i actually called Swee to check if it is safe to leave the float there. must let her know that i counted the amount properly. i even wrote down the no. of pieces of different notes. So, if there is still discrepancies, i dunnoe what to say! =P 2 wastage cakes today! Chocolate Banana, brought home though i dun eat them and a scoop of ice cream (left over from pan) by Henry for my sister. TIRED now!

yeah! i'm finally done with BIDDING! glad that we got what we wanted, though we overbidded by a little=D

received a call from swee(from awfully chocolate) in the morning, saying that there was $50 short from the float. it was quite a shocking news for me as i am quite or rather SURE that there was $200. i counted dunnoe how many times before i left the shop. initially,i thought tt i miht as well pay back $50 to solve the problem. BUT, if i pay them back the $50, doesnt tt means tt i'm the one who took the money away? SO, since i din take the money,no way am i going to fork out the money. 2ndly, $50 is not a small amount. is like, my pay was $70, after forking out $50, i earn $20? yeah, so NO WAY am i gg to pay! told my dad&mum&bro about this too. is like, this happens right after my first shift working alone, is it too much of a coincidence? well, i really dunno and i cant point fingers at others too since there are no evidences. maybe,its really my fault that i din keep the money properly, but i defintely did not take or STEAL their money. However, come to think of it, i have always been very careful with money. like handling a few thousand per night when i was in STALFORD, and after working there for 8 mths, nothing of this sort happen. SO, i dont think i made any mistake this time round! Sigh! a bit sian diao to go work now. Even if i work, i have alr sms-ed swee that i want one of the them to come down at night so that i can hand over the money to them personally. If not,who knows if there will be a second time. worked alone at BC today, my first time. received several calls from swee asking if i am okay. met the delivery guy, gerald today too. quite a nice guy! haha=D and not forgetting rene, esp towards the end of the day. overall, i would say its quite manageable, except for the last part, which i took quite a while to fill up delivery orders and tax invoices. to add on to it, the transfer form came only at about 820pm,near my closing time. in the end, ended work at around 935pm as i was busy doing the recon sheet, counting cash and clearing up. bro and siss came to pick me up.=)

went home, bathe and came online! yeah, BIDDING stuff. yeah! i've finally bidded. Now, i'm waiting for the best to happen tmr. pls do.

I have endless stuff to worry about and there are endless things to stress me out!

1st, it was selection of mods.
2nd, the bidding amount
3rd, whether i get the bids successfully
last, whether i have enough e$ for subsequent terms as i am TERRIBLY BROKE!

Quoting xiumin "bidding is such a tourturous process man..depletes my money both e$ and S$), energy, time and sleep". Totally true!
It's well supported by the following:

1stly, to bid for good prof, we spent like e$38 for 1 mod (can bid for 2 mods normally!)
2ndly, my SMS! in just abt 3 days, i sms almost 200? so there goes my S$! Same for xm! haha
3rdly, energy and time to go and think, ask and research! sians BIG time!
lastly sleep! when oasis was down and i couldnt bid, i couldnt sleep also. slept at 2.30am and woke up 4hrs later to try bidding again. endless discussions till late in night. actually discussions will never end until bidding closes, hor xm? haha!

The bidding system in SMU is really different from other schools. We have to really do 'research' before bidding. So, timing is not the only factor to consider. Who's teaching, who's your competitors and most importantly, the MARKET rate for each mod are all the factors that one need to consider before bidding. Back up plans. the WHAT-IFs. I hope we do not and will not have any what-if. SO is that a good thing? well, i guess its up to each individual. Like a coin, there are pros and cons!.

well, i can only pray that we get all our bids tmr when i see checked the oasis screen at 12pm. O ya, i would say smu is rather efficient. Bidding closes at tmr morning 8am and results out at 12 noon. maybe due to the small cohort, but still thumb's up!=D

i dont know if i shld take 5 mods per sem so that i can graduate in 3 years or 4 mods to lighten the workload per sem but take a longer time to grad? haix!

worked @ vivo city today, 13.5 hours! today's partner is much better than the previous one i thought. actually, this job of mine is very slack also! probably, more than half of the time was spent slacking. But, time passes quite fast today. left at 10:30pm and headed home! nothing much to update actually but for the sake for waiting for time to pass. (lousy eng, i know=P)

went plaza sing before heading to school. walked around and actually, there's not much things also. headed to school at 1pm. O ya, on the way to sch, saw this new vendor "cottage waffle place" at SESS building. heard that their waffle is nice!=P went CIT before SOS meeting. coz my laptop cant seem to detect the wireless network in school and at the same time, reset my password. SOS meeting ended at around 6pm. headed for J-Co donuts before going home! its been a long while since i last ate, so decided to buy home to share!

just came back about 2 hrs ago from LXWTS! it was excellent! enjoyed myself=))

i cant sleep, so i'm here to update!

together with my sister, we baked muffins, with assorted flavours. it was a success i would say. they tasted great! thumbs up! i'm lazy to upload the pictures. some other time when i feel like it, i'll then upload again.

it somehow seems that whatever i do, all my efforts will somehow go down the drain,which is pretty annoying isnt it? IRRITATING too! *sigh*

buttt,

anyway, went sch this morning for team bonding dry run with the main comm and logs comm. need some improvements and the actual event is just 2 weeks away! slacked @ concourse for awhile before we went off. before heading to awfully chocolate with peishi, went hougang mall to get baking needs. yeah, my sis and i are going to bake muffins tmr! pretty excited though. haha.

went awfullychocolate at BC to visit rene, at the same time, learn from her the system there. chatted a lot and we stayed there till about 6.30pm and headed home! really missed my sec sch friends alot esp those closer ones like peishi and rene! i'm sure we'll really really be best friends forever. =DD each time we meet up, we have loads to update each other. tts pretty good, in fact very good! 3 cheers to our friendship!=PPP they are those type who wont forget you even when they have many other new friends, even when we end up in different institutions, and even when we meet up less often. becoz, i feel that being gd friends in one same sch(say JC) does not mean that you'll continue to be gd friends in future (uni?). and... o ya, met rene's mum today too! she still remembers us=D. and her mum really makes good pastries.

on the other hand and in my opinion, there are pple who kou kou shen shen said that they are and gonna be best friends forever, but, that's not really true. afterall, somethings do not need to be said out loud i think. this can lead to a great disappointment at times!

afterall, how many best friends can one have? and, it really depends on each and individual's definition of best friends. =)

went school early in the morning at 7.30am with my lil sis to collect my SAAT work papers (yes, need to start my auditing work soon!). after which we proceed to Amoy Street Hawker Centre for breakfast. bought oreo muffins for my p6 sis, well, she requested and bought breakfast back for mom, dad and aunt.

went east coast for sandcastle training today. met up with ho ying before heading there. coincidentally, saw weijie, zhi wei and jia qing at the interchange and together we head off to east coast! hmmm, it was kind of fun, learning the proper techniques for building sand castles. though the final pdt wasnt a great one, we were kind of satisfied. shall upload pictures when i received them!=D

its been quite sometime since i last updated. i used to come online at around 11am till late eversince my exams ended until recently ... haha, not that i am busy with many things, but i just think that coming online is kind of bored too! haha.

1st june
had my last day of awfully chocolate on-the-ground training. hmm, i somehow have mixed feelings for this job. sometime, i just look forward to working and sometime, i really dread it. and, i'm starting my 1st shift with a buddy tmr! again, mixed feelings.

5th june, 6th june
went for SOS sales at Amoy Street Hawker Centre. my 1st time doing full shift ie, from morning 11am to 9pm. many told me that i'll regret and will not want to do full shift again. but, i think otherwise. it wasnt as tiring as i thought, probably because Amoy St has smaller crowd at night and we were all slacking and complaining. made a few new friends too and we all cliqued quite well since we all have the same mindset! haha. managed to sell many tix on 5th but half the amount on the 6th. it was all because, the crowd on the 6th was the same as those on the 5th. So, that explains why! o ya, some of the vendors there are very nice people. they parted with their money very readily and i even get to know one of the sell-drinks auntie. she's a nice woman!

okay, Amoy St Hawker Centre is one place which sell many varieties of food at affordable prices (i'm sure many pple know this!). the missy muffins ($1 each) there were highly recommended by my friends, thus, i tried them. their muffins really got sold out very quickly and theres always a queue. =) i was also told that muffins @ tanjong pagar plaza is nice and worth trying too!

7th june
had SAAT training in sch in the morning. hmm, broke up into groups and i act think that my tl is quite blur leh, prob because she hasnt been doing those stuff for 2 yrs. quick training and a short exercise with team members. after that, proceeded to sunshine plaza for muffins. been crazy over muffins lately. haha! i was told by my SOS HR team member that the muffins there are pretty good. hmmm, i find them a little too expensive. like $2 for a chocolate chip muffin? not worth it! haha

10th june
went for SOS sales again. this time, at parkway. full shift again as i wanted to do all at 1 go instead several half-day shifts. business was quite bad initally until before lunch where i found my 'lucky' spot and tix were really selling fast. things werent the same after lunch. haha. went to the muffin shop (east coast road) opp katong plaza since i promised my sis to buy her muffins too! see, we're real crazy over muffins now! amd i'm still waiting for my muffins from shunfu market (heard that they are nice too!). slacked at one of the coffeeshops there and back to sales. business was bad till night, whereby i could sell like 3-4 booklets in abt an hr? haha! satisfied with my performance. ended early @ 830pm and headed home! o ya, there were many other people from prudential and banks doing their survey and promotions there as well. chatted and made some on-the-spot friends (wont be meeting them again, lol!) with a few of the prudential pple there. one of them act cant believe that i'm from smu! haha, some sec sch they thought.

11th june
went to 'deliver' invoices with my dad and sis to customers in the morning. headed to temple to help my dad and mom with the sweeping. really tough sweeping, unlike those at home. but, its good exercise for me! haha. since i have nothing better to do at home also. and it has become a daily routine! went getai at night with dad, mom and siss. first half of the show was ridculous. the second half was very much more enjoyable and funny too! o yeah, i like watching getais too! and watching getais are not for those aunties and uncles anymore esp after the '881 movie'! its really quite enjoyable and relaxing.=P give it a try pple! lunar 7th month is round the corner. many many getais. hope i wont be tied down with sch work then!

okays! got to have an early night today. waking up @ 7am for work tmr! its gonna be a long day tmr.

woke up at 8 am and went to the swimming pool with my sisters. they wanted a swim badly. we played 'monkey' and 'hai tai' in water. it was quite fun esp the 'hai tai' game. haha!

we then went back home. after that we walked to houg ave 4 to run an errand for my mum and buy socks. then walked to houg point for a walk. my youngest sis is certainly a glutton. she can really eat. after lunch at home, her stomach still has space for Mac!

5-12 Si Chuan Earthquake

just finished watching the charity show organised to help raise funds for the Si Chuan Earthquake victims. a very meaningful event and show.

initially when i heard of the news, i did not bother about it, thought that it would not be that serious. But, i am so so so wrong. constant reporting on tv and newspaper everyday and the disastrous photos shown (看了好心痛。）. while i am here enjoying my life, the people over there are suffering, fighting and seizing every opportunity and chance to survive. my heart goes out to them, really. especially the children there. their will to live is so strong, even during this disastrous earthquake. i cant imagine what and how i would be if i were there. seeing the kids there make me feel that we are really too too too fortunate. all the troubles that we have are nothing as compared to them. and, what we can do now is to donate, donate and donate. thats all. and i pray hard that the disaster will end soon so that they will no longer suffer.

a normal day for me today!=)

woke up in the morning at 8am to head for my youngest sis's sch open house. pretty boring i wld say and we went home after a short while. slacked and went for driving lesson. as compared to the last lesson, i'm pretty satisfied with my performance today, at least i remembered to do most of the safety checks=))). the instructor was like: you very nervous is it? relax la! and i 'okok' all the way. haha. i think the instructors we get do affect the performance of our driving. when its pretty relax, not stressed, we tend to perform better. some instructors, i look at them, even before i start driving, i stressed already. haha! time passes very fast when i was driving today. did 4 test routes and some circuit revisions. after that, dad came and fetched me home!

went to watch getai just now. only 1 word to describe the ge tai: LAN! very very low standard except for 2 singers? probably due to low budget, and thats why! haha.

i'm doing some secondary school Maths Olympiad Questions now! Feeling kind of bored and do so in order to prevent my brain from getting rusty.=P Some questions are pretty interesting!=D

and yeah! I'm looking forward to tmr!

我睡不着, so i'm here to blog.

during the sch term, i have always complaint of lack of sleep due to sleeping late (yea, coz of projects and mugging and everything!). and, i think this has become a habit. i cant sleep early now. i tried turning in at 11pm and tossed and turned till 1 am, and i'm still awake. just cant get to sleep. this habit is terrible isnt it for hols? how i wished i was like that during sch term, haha! the most terrible thing is that my sisssss they all seldom stay up late and i'll be awake alone. how BORING! lOl.

went to hougang mall with my sisters earlier on. we went to play arcade(i think we spent quite a bit here), shopped around and went library to slack. my sis fell in love with the lychee jelly from mei wu. we went back twice to buy and the sales lady even said that she'll replenish her stock to wait for her to patronise the store again! haha. and also, bought a bag for my sister. after that, we decided to walk home since the weather's not hot and we had nothing better to do!

o, yeah! i'm getting stressed from driving! my test is next week! I hope i can pass though i know its tough. what i can do now is to pray. lesson fees and test fees are not cheap! and i think quite a large sum of money has been spent on me to just learn driving, so i really hope to pass it and not waste money again. however, like what i said, its gonna be tough, REAL tough. just hoping for the best!

went project SOS sales yesterday. my booth was stationed at Orchard Road, a huge crowd but few people willing to buy. Whereas, booths at PS and Waterloo St have extremely gd biz!. Shift supposed to end at 9pm but we finished selling all tix at 7pm after which i went back school to get the accounts right before passing the money to the logs team.

Supposed to have another sales today but due to unforeseen circumstances, the tixs are not ready. So, its cancelled. =D

Work training will commence on Monday, pretty sians. haha. How nice if i can don't work but at the same time have money! lOl. wishful thinking.=X

feel so refreshed now! had 12 hours of sleep after coming back last night!

went for flower selling yesterday at temples situated along Race Course Road (somewhere near Farrer Park) from 6:30 am to 6:00pm! business was bad initially. and its definitely HARD and NOT EASY to do sales. but, my aunt is definitely SUPER GOOD at this. she just 'forces' people to buy and they really bought. however, i was satisfied with my performance towards the end.=D there was another man selling flowers also, but his like no business. at around 5pm, with the little leftovers, we set up a 'booth' and managed to sell somemore. setting up a booth is definitely a good idea as we'll have customers walking up.

the weather was super duper hot and we were all burnt. esp my aunt and sis. they are really burnt (red+black skin). mine just red. haha. and my leg was burnt also. NEVER wear black slippers during hot weather. even ice took just 20s to melt when i put it on my shoe.
there was this beggar, going around asking people for $$$! he approached me twice, the first time, he approached me for $2 and the second time round, he asked me for dinner. i was like 'no, i also got no money!'. he is abled-bodied and instead of finding a job, he goes round asking for money. totally despise people like him! o ya, ice cream men have LOTs of BUSINESSes. my bro was saying we can sell ice cream next year also. haha

woke up at 7am today, went out with dad to purchase flowers. tmr gg to help aunt sell flowers (VESAK Day!). after tt, dad and mom went out to get breakfast while i get back to my bed. lOl.

Team Bonding Trial - Project Summer on Sand

left home @ 5:45am for school and reached school freaking early @ 6:40am.
met my fellow HR members @ 7am to prepare for the TEAM BONDING for main comm, sub comm and facis.

though the turnout rate was half, it was a lot of fun(even though i did not participate in the games)! the blanket drop, double whacko. after that we had sales training by project head and followed by station games. my station was 'passing the orange, lime and grape'. really impressed by some of the groups who used their mouth. *bonus points for them!* the most exciting game would be Captain Orange. It started off playing captain ball with orange to lime and chicken! totally not a good idea to use lime! as a referee, i couldnt even see the passing clearly. hhaha. as for the chicken, it wasnt as exciting as planned as they played with the chicken in the plastic bag.=( the day ended with weijie mopping the floor and the girls(us) finding spots for him to mop on. lOl. and, thanks ming li(if i din spell wrongly) our dear faci for staying on with us=D.

though its a long 5-hour event, time passes damn fast! i guess we have a lot to evaluate on and to further improve our team bonding session for the freshies in july. WAY TO GO, HR team!=D

after which, proceed to The Wheelock Place for my bro's phone and to Hougang point to meet my sister.

anddd.....went home and slacked till now! what a good life i am leading now!=D

O ya, GSS period is here to come again! =))))) which means, cash outflow will defintely exceed cash inflow! whaha. and work is starting soon, pretty sians. without work, i could still get pocket allowances from dad if i run out of money(coz he knows that i'm not working and thus reasonable to take $ from him) but of course, as much as possible, i will spend my own money.=D

thinking to go new york new york tmr for lunch with sis, but mom said that she'll be cooking so shall see how tmr! and nyny is expensive too!
